I have recently become obsessed with the hit show “How I Met Your Mother.” It is about the a man named Ted Mosby telling his daughter and son the story of how he met their mother.

“Kids, I’m going to tell you the story of how I met your mother. It all began in 2005,

This isn't your usual “our eyes met and it was love at first sight”. Ted decides to tell his kids every possible event leading up to the anticipated moment of how he met their mother. That moment is known as the “yellow umbrella” story. Explaining everything prior to the story entails relaying information about past girl friends, one-night stands, and crazy adventures with his four best friends.

The year is 2005-Ted is a late-twenties bachelor looking for a girl to settle down with and raise a family. Every woman he meets could be “the one.” Now into season 7, we still don’t know who the mystery girl is. But as it has been stated in the past, it’s all about the journey, not the destination.

The Best Friends:

- Loves the Vikings

- Is freakishly tall and hates New York City due to the small door frames

Lily Aldrin:

- Marshells girlfriend since college

- Studied art

- Is a kindergarten teacher

- Very, very short

- Is the voice of reason within the group

- Loves New York City

Robin Scherbatsky:

- News anchor for a local news station in NYC

- Met Ted in MacLaren's (the group's favorite bar)

- Is Canadian

- Obsessed with hockey

- Attracted to guys who get into physical fights

- Is what Ted considers the “perfect woman”

- Is afraid of babies

- Has no desire to get married

Barney Stinson:

-Likes to sleep with girls

- Likes giving high fives

- Thinks he is “awesome”

- Makes a very good living doing something (no one knows what)

- Is obsessed with suits

- Will accept any challenge

- Is petrified of marriage

-Will do just about anything to get a girl to sleep with him

Barney is by far my favorite character. He is truly “awesome”. Even though he is a womanizing man whore, he seems to make any situation hysterical. The actor that plays him, Neil Patrick Harris, is gay in real life, which makes his attempts to sleep with women even more comical to viewers.

“The only reason to wait a month for sex is if she's 17 years, 11 months old.”

-Barney Stinson, Season 1

This show has featured famous actors such as Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, Enrique Iglesias, Regas Filman, Jennifer Lopez and many others. It is definitely a show that aims to make their audience laugh (meant for ages 13+ due to mature content). If you haven't seen it yet, check it out! You won't regret it!
